I went to the doctor and have started high doses of anit-biotics and like 100 (really 2) different kinds of nose sprays to get things cleared up! Please pray it works. Oh, and I asked if my addiction to OTC nose spray might have contributed to this and he said it absolutely could have.....so if anyone (E) is using nose spray on a regular basis, you may want to look into getting off of it. I don't wish this headache on anyone, not even my worst enemy!!!!!!

Finally.

Well, after about 2 months of waiting for my MRI and some sort of answer to why I have had a headache for 5 months, we have an answer!!!!!
I don't have any tumors or lesions or anything crazy going on in my brain.....other than the brain itself.....haha. I have an INCREDIBLY bad infection in my Ethmoid sinuses.


I go to the doctor today to get the full story, but here is the general gist of it.....these sinuses are located deeper in the head/brain than the frontal or maxillary ones and with them being infected, it is causing pressure on my brain and causing my headache. Also, with a sinus infection comes congestion in other areas that are connected, like my ears, which is causing my dizziness and light headedness. The physicians assistant that I spoke with that gave me the news said that looking at the results, she is surprised I have been able to function for this long with this headache. Apparently the infection is really bad. The infection causes the lining or walls of the sinuses to thicken as well.
My doctor is going to send me to see an ear, nose and throat specialist to get treatment. Treatment starts with anti-biotics and if I don't respond to that, they may have to do surgery. I am going to do all I can to avoid that though.......I am about tired of surgeries.
So, to sum it up, I have a nose infection and confirmed I do have a normal brain! For everyone (including myself sometimes) who every questioned if there was anything up there.....there is!!!!! Thanks everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers and everything.

This past weekend Hayden had a very big time! Friday he got to go to a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese and he had a blast!!! He got to stay up late....such a big boy!!!! His wonderful Aunt Sandy took him to the party, Chuck-E-Cheese is very loud, as we all know, and with my head hurting there is no way I would have enjoyed that at all. So, Tyler and I had a night alone to just sit and coo at one another.
Saturday was pretty uneventful. Greg and I went to see Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. Greg's fathers day "getaway". It was a pretty good movie....Better than the second one (mostly because Vin Diesel makes and appearance in this one.....so hot). =o) Not as hot as my dear husband of course.
Sunday, Father's day was spent at my grandparents house eating bbq. Hayden entertained everyone and wore himself out. He was asleep in his car seat within 5 minutes of sitting in the car. Man, I wish I had just a little bit of his energy sometimes!!!! After his long nap in the car, he was ready to go swimming when we got home! That was our weekend! Very fun and relaxing.
